In the beginning...
Chapter One: Coffee & Tea started as a hobby and developed into a dream.
When we lived in Seattle, we loved exploring the city and setting up at our favorite coffee shops to work and socialize. As Chris was writing business plans, Tracy was writing plays. That was Chapter One of our coffee adventure.
In the next chapter, Chris and his partner ran Seattle Burlap. They collected and repurposed burlap bags from some of the largest coffee roaster throughout the Puget Sound. With the bags came unused green beans. Using these beans, Chris started roasting at home. The first step to becoming a coffee expert was developing.
What we started to develop in the days spent at our favorite cafes was a vision for combining a community atmosphere with a great cafe experience. For us, this is the foundation for Chapter One: Coffee & Tea.
We pride ourselves on being local and we buy as much as possible from local vendors and NY vendors. Our beans are roasted locally, our syrups are housemade, and we blend our own espresso. We've taken our time to dial in our coffee and process to ensure that you're getting the same quality drink time and time again. We feel these philosophies contribute to the quality of our coffee and your experience.
