We've partnered with Lakeside Coffee to locally roast our coffee beans and Vermont Tea & Trading Company to offer the highest quality loose leaf teas. Our espresso blend is dialed in to pull the perfect shot. We measure and tune our drink process to ensure you're getting the same delicious drink every time.

We pride ourselves in shopping local for ingredients, and we buy as much as possible from local vendors and small businesses. Our beans are roasted locally, our loose leaf teas are from just across the water, and our syrups are made in-house. Our Sacred Maple Latte is sweetened with pure maple syrup from Sacred Roots Maple, located just up the road in West Chazy. Plus, our pastries are baked locally at Rulf's Orchard in Peru, NY.
We also carry a variety of artisan products including handmade coffee mugs, stickers, buttons, and much more!

Beginning...
What started as a passion has developed into a dream.
In chapter one of our story, we lived in Seattle and loved exploring our favorite coffee shops to work from or relax with friends. While Chris was writing business plans, Tracy was writing plays.
In the next chapter, Chris and his business partner owned and operated Seattle Burlap. They collected and repurposed burlap bags from some of the largest regional coffee roasters. Chris began roasting the handful of green coffee beans he found in each bag. The first step to becoming a coffee expert was experimenting.
When we moved across the country to Plattsburgh, NY, we began envisioning our own coffee shop offering craft coffee and tea in a cozy community space. In 2017, we realize this dream and opened Chapter One Coffee & Tea in downtown Plattsburgh.
